He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Matthew 28:5
Oh, how I love this season. Charles Dickens said it best, “It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.” I couldn’t have said it better if I spend a week devoting all my time to describing the month of March in words.
Nori and I enjoyed a beautiful March evening in downtown Texarkana for her annual Easter photos. For Nori’s mama, Easter photos are a must and we’ve made a tradition out of it. She always has the sweetest dress to celebrate the season! And that red hair, y’all! Nori is just a living doll.

Hi, I’m Kayla Brint – mama to two busy boys, Southern home cook, and host of The Deviled Egg Society Podcast. Around here, I share family-tested recipes that bring comfort (and a little nostalgia) straight to your table, plus stories and conversations that celebrate life, home, and community.
Whether you’re looking for the best cast iron cornbread, a weeknight dinner in under 30 minutes, or a podcast episode that feels like chatting with a friend over sweet tea – you’ll find it here. Pull up a chair, grab a plate, and welcome to my corner of the internet.
I literally sat down and cried! She’s so sweet! I miss this angel every day! Of course you bring out the very “cuteness” in her! I love these photos!
