There are SO many good books out there. Like, so many. But there are even more that aren’t so great. Listen, my quiet evening time when I read is sacred. I do not have room in my life for wasting time on a bad book. So, I do my research before purchasing. However, I’ve still been let down a few times. *sigh*
I’m in a season of reading business/self-help/productivity books. Can I be honest? I don’t like parenting books. I know that might come as a surprise. I’ve tried, y’all, and the ones I’ve read are just plain boring. (Does that make me a bad parent?) Today I want to share with you the books I’ve read that have helped me in this crazy thing we call life. Have you read any of these? Comment below and let me know your thoughts!

Productivity and direction. 2 of my favorite things are clearly mapped in this book. Burchard really digs into what makes me productive. I’m actually listening to this book for a second time on Audible. I’ve also purchased it because he has some questions throughout the book that I want to sit down and answer for myself.
If you have trouble saying no, read this book. Super easy read and very good! There is also a study that goes along with it that I’ve done as well. Seriously, this is a must.
I’m actually reading this book now. Because I’ve totally shifted gears in my business to strictly motherhood, I’m looking inwards to why I am doing what I’m doing. I’ve spent years only focusing really on the what and the how. This book really uncovers exactly what it means to know your why and how to do it.
This one is so good that I’ve written a post just about it. Check it out here.
I wish I would have read this before I started my business. Seriously, if you feel lost starting a business, this book is for you. She really breaks down how to start making money doing what you love.
I had been listening to the Building a Story Brand podcast before I listened to Donald Miller’s book (this is another audio book I listen to.) He teaches easy communications principles I use in my business every day.
This book is about taking “massive action.” If you feel like you just have a million ideas in your head but don’t actually make any of them happen, this book is for you!
This is a favorite of mine because it’s a fictional story with business principles revealed throughout the story. It’s a quick and inspiring read.
I love Emily Ley. Like, I think we would be best friends… along with Rachel Hollis and Ree Drummond. I follow her on social media and she’s really one of my favorites. I started following her because I bought her Simplified Planner (click here to get $10 off!) I’m obsessed with it, y’all! This was her first book (I believe.) It’s really for all moms who feel overwhelmed doing all-the-things (raising my hand REALLY high.)
See, I told y’all I love Emily! Her second book really breaks down some great tips for simplifying your home and life. PLUS, like all of Emily’s things, it’s pretty. This book really helped me to get a new mindset about simplicity.
I’ve been talking about this book a lot lately because it’s totally changed my routine. If you want to be more productive and start your day off right, this is a must read (and do!)
Ever wonder what matters most? Me too. This book does a great job of addressing just that.
Because of this book, I never say “I don’t have time” to do something. We have way more time than we think. This book proves it, and is a great guide for managing your time.
