Before diving head first as a full-time photographer, I was a high school teacher. I l.o.v.e. teenagers! Yes, you read that right. I think teenagers are great! I taught every grade from 4-12 and my favorite was 12th. The potential that a high school senior has inspires me. They are a blank canvas full of dreams and hopes.
Oh, the bad attitude? Yes, that’s a real struggle, but I learned that a cookie or two went a long way in helping to adjust that.
This Redwater High School Senior is truly a natural beauty. This girl changed into 3 different outfits faster than I could change into 1. Now, that’s talent. She told me just before she got to the session that she had a bunch of bruises on her legs from softball. First thing I thought was, “Honey, with those beautiful eyes, no-one is going to see your legs!” Her eyes. Gorgeous! But I remember those days of all the bruises. Not from softball though. Not from anything that involved a ball or hand-eye coordination, actually. Homegirl was a cheerleader because she’s loud and was not require to catch a thing. Go, Dragons!
Emilee is so mature, well spoken, and is going to rock adulthood that is just on the horizon. She aspires to be an elementary teachers, and if that is God’s plans for her, those children are going to be so blessed! Congratulations, Emilee!
